Be Very Cautious About Summertime

Be Very Cautious About Summertime

I know Summer time is mostly everyone’s favorite time of the year. I get it. Please be cautious though. Here’s what I wanted to share with you. With the heat index being as high as it is. Let me share some tips for Adults, Children and Pets.

For Seniors, Adults, Children & Pets:

1) Always have a fan handy. The battery operated ones. The one you wear around your neck is very helpful. Even the spray bottle fan. That cool mist coming from the fan. Really cools you down. (Have extra batteries)

2) Always carry water with you. Cool water. Maybe have a cooler handy with your hydrating drinks. Like Coconut Water, Alkaline Water, Watermelon Water etc.

3) Wear cool colors. That can easily keep you cool and doesn’t attract any heat. Stay away from Black, Brown and Dark Grey colors. Please. It will dehydrate you so quickly. You wouldn’t know what hit you.

4) Please no heavy clothing. Shorts, Skirts, Dresses, Rompers etc will keep you cool.

5) Always pack a lite snack. Nothing heavy that would give you the itis. Then put you to sleep. No we don’t want that.

For Pets Only:

6) For your Pets. If you have to walk your pets. Make sure to have there paws covered with comfy padded shoes, mittens, socks etc. Everything above still applies..

These are the tips I have to share with you. Please keep them handy. Apply it! I would really hate for anyone to get a heat stroke from wearing heavy clothing, not staying hydrated etc.

Please love yourself enough to protect yourself from this heat.

Let My Coils Flow…

Let My Coils Flow…

My struggle would be my hair. I’ve tried products on top of products. Do you get my drift?

I hear women with long straight hair. Complain about not having thick and coily hair. To hear this, I think to myself. Lady if only you knew my struggle with 4C Hair.

I hear women with my same hair texture. Complain about not having straight or curly hair. To hear this, I just laugh.

I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter your hair texture. We all have some sort of struggle with our hair.

I went into Walmart today. I seen this product on the shelf. That Yandy use on her and also her children hair.

I looked at the bottle. Looked at the price. Looked at my wallet. Kept turning the bottle around and around. Just thinking! Will this product work in my hair. Would it just sit on the top of my hair shaft and leave a white residue. As I kept turning the bottle. I see No parabens, No sulfates, No Paraffins, No Mineral Oil, No Synthetic Colors, No DEA, no animal testing. A huge plus.

For those of you who don’t know what DEA is. It is a chemically modified coconut oil used as a thickener in most products.

For those of you who don’t know what sulfate is. It is a cleansing agent also found in cleans products.

Yay!!! No animal testing!!! Pro Animals!! I love them..

Back to my story! I was debating on this or going with another product that listed the same thing. No parabens, No sulfates, etc.

I was sold on this particular product Yandy use because it listed “Enhances curls with SEMI-DEEP definition with intense hydration for thick, curly Type 4 hair”.

Yes it says it on front of the bottle. I was surprised but it got me to buy it over the other product.

I got home. Washed my hair. Looked for my Aloe Vera Gel. Didn’t have anymore. I pulled “MIELLE” out of my bag.

Remember my hair is damp, just washed it. I took the top off. An Girl! The first thing that hits me is the same. That fruity honey scent had me smiling from ear to ear.

The creamy texture of the MIELLE Twisting Soufflé felt just like lotion in between my fingers. I slapped that on my hair. Rubbed it in my scalp and stretched my hair a few times. Looked in the mirror to see if it was sitting on my hair shaft or actually absorbed into my hair.

Guess what y’all! To my surprise it actually absorbed into my hair.

It’s been about 2 hours since I used it and look at that stretch. My hair is totally hydrated. No dryness and No stiffness.

If you have 4 type hair. Consider trying “MIELLE” hair products. If it worked for me it’ll definitely work for you.

Moms Have You Heard Of These….

Moms Have You Heard Of These….

Listen I’m new to the Mom Gang. Ok! I’m a first time Mom. Figuring everything out on my own. It’s fun but worrisome as well.

I recently took my child to see the pediatrician. Had a constant runny nose. I’ve wiped my baby nose with about 7 different tissues. I started noticing my baby nose getting red.

I switched up and started using a warm wash rag to wipe the nose. Then use Vaseline after each wipe to moisturize the nose.

It was not working. I would spray the nose with the little nose saline spray. Wipe the nose with the warm wash rag. Then use Vaseline on and around the nose.

I said forget this. My baby still got a runny nose plus it’s red (irritated) under the nose. Let me take my baby to the pediatrician.

My baby has Seasonal Allergies. Ok Great! Have you heard of the Boogie Wipes with Natural Saline? No. What are those?

It’s better to use these because of the Natural Saline. It will relieve the redness under the nose and wipe away the boogies. It’s really good. Try them.

Ok Doc!

I go to my local Walmart and there they are in the Baby Section where you’ll find diaper cream and baby liquid vitamins.

Boom! There’s the Boogie Wipes for $8.98. For a pack of 2. I thought to myself dang these almost $10. Ok. Ok.. it’s for my baby. Get them.

I couldn’t wait to get in the car and try them. I was in line and my baby nose was runny. Guess what I did?

You guessed it. Opened the pack and wiped my baby nose. No squirm, crying or yelling. My baby even blew the nose while I wiped it. I was shocked.

After 1 full day of using it. The redness is completely gone. No soreness or chapped skin. GONE!

I’m sold on These Boogie Wipe with Natural Saline.

Have you beards of these??

Let Me TELL You About The Milk I Made!

Let Me TELL You About The Milk I Made!

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of making and recording. Of course I had to record it for my YouTube family so they could see how I did it.

Now, Back to the point of it all, how to make flaxseed milk and also almond milk. I have to admit. Homemade is thee best way to go. Do you know? It tasted way better. The only down part about it. It only last in the refrigerator for 4 days. That’s it!

To be quite honest with you. It did not last 4 days at all. That milk was so delicious it only last about 4 hours. I couldn’t resist.

Let me tell you about my experience making the flaxseed milk. I did not do how most people would do. I grind my flaxseeds up before (by itself) I add the water. This is everything I used to make it.

Ingredients:

1 cup of flaxseeds

Strainer

Blender

2 or 3 cups of water

Measuring Cup

Honey or Agave as sweetener (whatever your preference)

It was the same process as the almond milk. 1 part seeds and 2 or 3 part water. However you make it. Make sure you double the water.

This experience really broaden my arisen of the homemade realm of things. It was fun but I really saved money doing this. The only down side of it. Since there is no preservatives in it. It only last for 4 days in the refrigerator, if that.

The Process:

I took one (1) cup of flaxseeds in the little measuring cup. Put it in my grinder and completely grounded the seeds until it was like dust. Poured it in my magic bullet. Came out to about half of cup of grounded flaxseeds. Added 2 cups of water. Blended very well. About 1 1/2 minutes. Added honey. Then blended again to mix it well.

I used a mesh cloth or stocking cap (un-used of course). Placed it around my measuring cup. Completely poured my mixture in the stocking cap. At last, I began to strain the milk from the grounded seeds.

Of course, I saved my grounded seeds to make homemade flaxseed muffins. I’m telling you it was so good. I was pleased to have made it myself. The satisfaction of it. Topped the magnitude…
